I lost the best friend that I ever had. My 94 year old girlfriend Maria Gallagher was the kind of friend we all need or should have in our lives. She was so freaking brilliant, book smart and a wizard at mathematics. She also could have taught grammar to English teachers. Marie was a real stand up women who everyone adored and admired. She had such common sense, a heart of gold and a backbone of steal. I never looked up to or was enamored with anyone more than Marie. If she were born in another era I’m sure she would have became a Supreme Court Justice instead of a legal secretary. Her modest was renowned, the only time I ever heard her brag was when she spoke of her four sons who she raised as a single mom. S he lived a long life with dignity and independence. She taught me the meaning of living your best life and to be the best you could be. I loved her so. Rest in Peace my sweet angel.❤️
